Nina Vroemen

Biography

Nina Vroemen makes interdisciplinary work about ecology that is speculative and embodied. Vroemen is a collaborator in three interdisciplinary performance projects (Horizon Factory + water%holding + HEaD) centered on awe and ecological justice. Their recent shows include Sentient Disobedience at the PHI (MTL), PIQUE at Saw Gallery (ON), IGNITION 19 at the Ellen Gallery (MTL), Marées Queer Tides at Gallery Sans Nom (NB), Artch (QC), Watershed Art and Ecology (CHI), Summerworks (TO), Points de Bascule, Centre Clark (MTL), RIPA (MTL), Centre de Création O Vertigo (MTL), and Darling Foundry (MTL). Vroemen has generously been supported by The Canada Council for the Arts, The John Howard Foundation, SSHRC and FRQSC.
